Essence Keep It Perfect! Make-Up Fixing Spray
Yes Yes, I know that I am delayed with the review of Essence Keep It Perfect! Make-Up Fixing Spray, but life happened and I couldn’t release the post sooner. So lately as you have noticed almost all of the make up brands nowadays have this thing called a setting or fixing spray. My make up tends to move around during the day especially during summer and also I touch my face every other second. Essence has recently released their version of a fixing spray and this happens to be my first make up spray and I was super excited to try it. Everyone is raving about the MAC Fix+ Spray but I was definitely not going to spend that amount of money on something that might not work. I have to admit that the product didn’t wow me and I couldn’t see the difference but I will be using it again to give it another try. The pump/spray action is quite hectic so make sure that your keep the bottle a distance from your face.So here’s the low down on this product.
- Suitable for sensitive skin
- Fragrance free.
- Smells like latex
- Not a must have (for me)
Overall this is a good product but not something that I MUST have and not something that I will repurchase.
Essence Stay All Day Translucent Fixing Powder
The other product that caught my eye was the Essence Stay All Day Translucent Fixing Powder. I have super oily skin and everyone keeps on telling me to get a powder to help keep the oil at bay. The thing that I want to avoid using this product is looking cakey or the appearance of fine lines. When using this powder I was quite skeptical because I was scared that I would look washed out but I didn’t. This product is perfect for those long hot days and I would highly recommend it for ladies with very oily skin and it sets your make-up without weighing it down. The powder comes in a loose form which wont be hard on my brushes, and it comes in a compact jar great for throwing into handbag in a rush.
- Cute packaging
- Instant matte effect
- Didn’t control my oiliness the whole day. Had to reapply every now and then.
That’s it for this review. Please pop me an email if you want me to review more products specifically for oily skin.
